Aphrodite
Aphrodite, born of the sea, is the Greek goddess of love, compassion, and fertility.
Legend says the titan Cronus threw his father’s divine peals into the sea. The sea stirred and foamed, and from the foam the most beautiful woman to ever walk the earth, Aphrodite, emerged in a giant glowing shell.
Aphrodite is pure feminine energy. She is the maiden, pure of heart, wide-eyed and graceful. She’s often associate with love, beauty, and sexuality. Her energy is a gentle pull to always appreciate beauty and love both within others and within ourselves.
I’ve always seen Aphrodite as somewhat of a mirror. As a goddess, she does not have a true, stationary form like humans. Every person that lays eyes on her sees their version of the most beautiful woman. To one person she may have pale skin and green eyes; to another she has dark skin and golden brown eyes. Beauty is universal, and all beauty should be cherished.
